So, I am a YouTube watcher. I got started watching Philip DeFranco and branched out from there, but Philip DeFranco always kept me interested. I even joined his forums until he shut that down (with no notice, I’m not bitter or anything….). But one thing has always irritated me about him (and a few others).

He, for at least the fourth time, is saying he is ending his show. Am I devastated? No. Will I beg him to stay? No. But some are and some will. And he does this at least once a year. Guaranteed, he will be back talking about how he never knew how loved he was and he just couldn’t give up all his fans. Blah blah blah. Effing tool, it is pathetic.

If you are going to leave your online presence, then leave. But don’t threaten to go and keep coming back. That is just stupid, childish, irritating, and transparent.

But this isn’t unique to him. Many bloggers, vloggers, etc do this every now and then. They pull the “oh I just think it is time to end this all” card and all their “fans” come out of the woodworks and beg them to stay. And so they stay…until the attention dwindles again.
