About Us
Ludo and The Lion is a constant work in progress; a never ending search for the ideal way to spread news, ideas, and – most importantly – my opinion as far as I possibly can.
LaTL began back in 2008 as a fun little blog that I occasionally would write on. I was out of work and had little to do and too much time to do it in. More than anything, I wrote about what interested me. I did not write to gain readers, I wrote to express myself. I also used the site as a way to learn. As I began playing with settings, I discovered some (fairly minor) coding skills and realized I enjoyed the fine tuning that comes with site maintenance.
Now, we have moved away from Blogger and are hosted on our own. There was no real reason other than a new year and a new decade, but the change has been smooth.
Now, for some FAQs:
What is a Ludo?
Ludo is my dog. No. He is more than my dog. He is my best friend, my comfort, and my constant support. In the coming year, he will also be my inspiration for several posts.
You’re a girl so why are you called the Lion?
I get this one all the time. I was born in early August (send presents!) and therefore am a Leo. The Lion is the animal representation of the Leo sign. A lioness is not. Nevertheless, I am a female and would appreciate being referred to as such. TIA.
What is your political standing?
I, like our current President, am a Centrist. I tend to lean more liberal on (some) social aspects and rather conservative on (some) fiscal aspects. I believe in welfare assistance with limits, universal health care for purchase, and keeping guns out of the hands of lunatics, criminals, and children.
What is your religion?
This one usually comes up on other sites, but I’ll address it here as it is sometimes relevant. I am what is referred to as a literal Christian. That means that I am Christian in the sense that I follow Christ, the man and his words and teachings. I belong to no church and my holy documents are far more expansive than the Holy Bible.
Where do you live?
Stalker, much? I live in Oregon for the time.
Why don’t you use your real name?
Because I highly value my privacy. The last time I revealed my name online I as tracked down and began receiving letters in the mail from a “fan.” I’d rather that not happen again. So for now only a select few are privy to my information.
Can I contact you?
Coming soon.
Do you censor your comments?
No. I believe everyone has the right to make as big a fool of themselves as they wish. So go forth and let the dumb spill out.
